Tip No.1 is to select the all-natural sea scallops for quick easy scallops

When you buy scallops, pay attention to the ingredients and try to get the 100% all-natural sea scallops without the added-on stuff. Not only they are healthier, but also taste better.

Tip No.2 is to soak, rinse, and dry the scallops Properly

Soak the scallops in a large bowl with plenty of cold water for 30 minutes before cooking. Then rinse a couple of times and dry with a paper towel.

Tip No.3 is to sear the scallops properly

Use a combination of butter and extra virgin olive oil. Butter certainly elevates the deliciousness of this elegant shellfish. Remember to heat the nonstick fry pan before adding butter/oil. This hard anodized fry pan is my go-to for non-stick cooking.

As for the cooking ingredients, I usually use as simple as salt and pepper with a splash of lemon juice at the end. Sear the scallops until they are firmed up and a golden crust forms on both ends.
