Immune Boosting Cough Tea

Immune Boosting Cough Tea using organic wholesome herbs is excellent for boosting the immune and improving respiratory health. The organic wholesome hyssop, mullein, nettle leaf, marshmallow roots, and marshmallow leaf are natural cures for supporting your immune system and improving respiratory health. If you can tolerate bitterness, horehound is another excellent cough tea herb choice.

When we vacationed in Croatia in early June 2024, we visited a botanical place called Stella Croatica, dubbed Olive Museum & Tradition, which opened my eyes to healing herbs.

Immune Boosting Cough Tea Key Ingredients

Hyssop Herb

Hyssop is a well-known traditional medicinal herb for cough relief and antiviral effects. It also improves digestive health by stimulating the digestive system.

Mullein Herb

Mullein is a popular herbal tea to help with respiratory health such as asthma, cough, common cold, and bronchitis. It is an expectorant, meaning it helps the body expel excess mucus and is also a demulcent. Both qualities make mullein helpful for soothing irritation of the lungs, throat, and bronchial passages.

Marshmallow Root and Leaves

Marshmallow roots and leaves are famous for their soothing and anti-inflammatory properties, which can help relieve coughs, soothe sore throats, calm stomach irritation, and support digestive health.

Nettle Herb

Nettle leaves are well-known for their anti-inflammatory properties, which can potentially help with high blood pressure, liver health, endocrine health, as well as skin and bone health.

Besides making herbal tea, nettle can be consumed in soups, curries, and other dishes. Tropically, you can use nettle in compresses or creams to treat joint pain, sprains, strains, tendonitis, and insect bites.

Horehound

Last but not least key ingredient is the horehound. I often list it as “optional” due to its extreme bitterness. However, it has amazingly impressive health benefits as a vasodilator, expectorant, diaphoretic, diuretic, and treatment for intestinal parasites due to its powerful anti-inflammatory properties.

Horehounds can help with vascular health, high blood pressure, diabetes, liver and gallbladder problems, constipation, fluid retention, and more.
