Then I realized I need just a little bit conditioner for the tip of the my long har. Now my homemade shampoo Castile soap, this hair conditioner, along with the hair serum (oil) become my daily hair routine three steps.

What you need for making Hair Conditioner?

First and foremost, you will need emulsifying wax, which is the key to whip oil and water seamlessly together. For the oil part, I like jojoba oil and castor oil, only need 3 tsp of each to pair with one cup of distilled water. For a better creamy effect, I usually add 2 tsp glycerin to the water.

  • Fill a deep frying pan with some water. Add a steaming rack and place both measuring cups on top of the rack.
  • Turn the heat to medium-high and bring to a boil and then turn to medium. Use the silicon spatula stir and fold the wax to the oil continuously until wax is melted. Continue to mix and fold until the mixture becomes clear.

  • While you work on the oil/wax mixture, just let the water/glycerin sit on the rack to heat up the mixture.
  • Turn the heat to low to simmer. Give the water and glycerin mixture a good stir and then gradually add a little bit of it to the oil/wax mixture while stirring until all water mixture is in.
  • Turn off the heat. Remove the measuring cup from the hot water and place on a cooling rack. Add about 15 drops of essential oils of your choice. I like rose essential oil since they smell so good. I also like lavender and orange essential oil.
  • Stir vigorously and then let it cool on the rack for an hour or so and stir from time to time.
  • Pour the conditioner mixture into the bottle. The mixture may still look liquidity, which is expected and good for the easy pouring. Once it is fully cooled down overnight inside the bottle, it becomes thicker.
